Our Facility

Our facility, Quail Ridge Parrot Rescue, is located in rural Murrieta California and is situated on 20 acres owned by Joyce and Steve Dodd, our director and manager. It is State of the Art with aviaries that are built to the most ridged standards of heath and sanitation.  The birds who come to live here are exotic parrots who have lost their homes either due to lack of knowledge from their previous owners or unforeseen circumstances such as a death in the family or an economic tragedy.   When birds are received they are quarantined for a minimum of 30 days in order to establish their health status and identify any behavioral issues.  After that period they are placed in group areas based on their individual needs.  For those birds who are looking for another family setting all efforts are made to find them permanent forever homes.  However some of the birds that come to our facility are not able to re-enter the world of humans, and for those we offer long term lodgings in a setting that best fits their origins and present needs.

Below are some pictures of the facility.  Check back periodically as we are always trying to improve this wonderful place.

Your Donations Help, No Matter How Big or Small! With the arrival of each new bird, our expenses increase. Presently our little beaks consume over 1,000 pounds of food per month.  Your donations help to keep our feathered residents healthy and fed. Thank you for your generosity!
